Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 IT Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our organization’s day-to-day operations by ensuring that our Microsoft 365 environment is running smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 tools, a strong IT background, and the ability to assist the team with both user support and system-level optimizations—including through scripting or code when needed.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist with strong Microsoft 365 experience to:
• Support users with Microsoft 365 apps like Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, and Power Automate
• Set up and manage a ticketing system for tech support
• Help configure and manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Azure AD, Intune, etc.)
• Write and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to improve workflows
• Onboard new or external users on Microsoft 365 tools
• Set up accounts, permissions, and licenses for new users and partners
• Identify ways to improve operations using Microsoft 365 tools
• Recommend and support other tools like Otter.ai, Zoom, and Calendly
• Help create a secure, scalable, and user-friendly Microsoft 365 setup
• Build a system to track time spent on hourly projects
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and manage Microsoft Teams, including channels, guest access (including B2B collaboration), and permissions
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
• Onboard new users with clear, friendly instructions
• Respond to support requests with a helpful, service-minded attitude
• Write simple guides and document key processes
• Recommend best practices for secure and efficient collaboration
• Create a system to track time spent on projects
Skills:
• Strong Microsoft 365, Teams, and Entra ID experience
• Familiar with Power Platform, hybrid environments, and compliance
• Skilled in managing guest access and domain settings
